“This was just one of those books I had to read all at once. I stayed up all night to finish it because I just couldn’t down. And once I got the book down, I couldn’t fall back asleep because all I could think of was Noa, Callum, Judah, and what happens next. This is one of my new favorite series with Bird being my new favorite author. I highly recommend everyone pick up this series as soon as it’s released….and then come talk to me about it. All in all, I am in love with Shattered Blue, and I think you will be, too.”

“The characters are amazingly complex and three-dimensional
I love it when authors can manage to surprise you over and over again, just when you think you’ve read it seen it all.
the romance is jaw-dropping and conflicting”

“Wonderfully, amazingly, and skillfully written. SHATTERED BLUE, by Lauren Horowitz was uniquely transformed into a masterpiece that thrilled this reader, and caused me to not only hang on to every word but to relish every page…. There was only one little thing I didn’t like about this book. It ended too fast.”

“Wow. Just wow…fantastic, and bursting with surprises. .. I truly loved every twist and turn. Shattered Blue really knocked my socks off! I love that feeling you get towards the end of a great book when you are up in the middle of the night, unable to rest until you’ve absorbed every last word, and even afterwards you lay there, a bundle of untamable energy just marveling at the sheer brilliance of what you just read.”

“I loved everything about the book when I started reading. Noa’s voice felt so real and the author’s writing style felt unique but addictive – I could not get enough of her writing! I felt like I was right there with Noa, feeling everything she felt”

“MAGICAL REALMS, POETIC GIRLS, DANGEROUS BOYS – MY KINDA BOOK! … I was swept away by the beautiful way Horowitz crafted … the poems, the tempo, the underlying current of danger… The way Shattered Blue was written is in itself magical and enthralling. I fell head over heels for the character development … this is Horowitz’s first novel and WOW was a debut! I’m not embarrassed to say I scooped out her poems and short stories on her website.
Yes yes yes.”

“Noa’s family life is a true highlight. Her little sister Sasha is a gem, and I liked the perceptive aunt who comes to help the family out while they’re grieving. I loved the way Noa’s mom connected to her daughters and the painful way they found each other through the ghost of Isla. Noa’s dad was less of an entity in the story, but he had a few good moments. It’s rare to see a teen character with such a lived-in, present family”

exquisite poetry…greatly admired [Noa’s] complexity and her raw emotions …. She was compelling
I absolutely loved the writing in this book… poetic and had a whimsical aura that was simply captivating.
Judah stole my heart. He was inscrutable and snarky and hopelessly broken but I fell for him.

The plot was fresh and unique…The concept about the faes was totally awesome…I loved how things were executed overall and the twists and turns really blew my mind. This book blew my mind away…it was absolutely perfect. The surprise twist threw me off and made my jaw drop… I would most certainly tell you guys to buy it! Do it.
Sympathy Light, Clockworkorigin.com
Her writing is somber and realistic. In the middle of all of these fantastical elements, she doesn’t lose sight of the deeper story, a family in mourning, which she paints so beautifully
And if you need one more reason to read this – there is poetry. REAL poetry. Mind baffled. Bravo, Ms. Horowitz!
That ending was just…wow.
Renee, Goodreads.com

If you enjoy a great fantasy read, don’t bother reading any more of this review, just get yourself a copy of the book and go read it for yourself!…This has to be the start to one of the best fantasy series I have ever read.
…the real strength of Shattered Blue is the narrative style: Lauren Horowitz is a talented writer and her style is intense, vivid and evocative.

My kindle died right at the climax of this book. I went to my other kindle and I had forgotten to charge that one. So I downloaded the app in order to finish reading this on my phone. Yeah. I was that obsessed with finishing. And the ending…OMG.
A_tiffyfit, Goodreads.com
Not your typical faery story. If you like poetry, this is a book that will awe you. You can see the love of words from the author in her characters… a Fae story with a new twist.
Anna, Amazon
a must buy
the world building was great… the trilogy is going to be great and you’re going to want all the books together in the end!
Shattered Blue … captivated me from the first sentence.
What I liked the most about this story were the deeply developed characters. Horowitz is simply fantastic at taking even the most non-essential characters and giving them depth. The story was well rounded and the final twist at the end was one I never expected. Even now I am on pins and needles waiting for the continuation of this trilogy…I am giving this book 5/5 faes for a fantastic start to what promises to be an amazing trilogy.
